Each year we have donated $5000 to each of the charities who make the Final Five but don't receive the major award.     This is a way support them in the important work they do in the Whakatipu, and also means all of the final five charities leave the awards event with something.

This year with $208,000 we are giving two $100,000 awards, which leaves $8000 to share between the other final three.
