Wayfare Spirit of the Wakatipu

The Wayfare Spirit of the Wakatipu Gala has been designed to bring together all those who are involved in the philanthropic jigsaw puzzle - to celebrate and to showcase the achievements and contributions that are tirelessly made in this sector. The funders, the donors and the socially responsible corporate partners; the recipients, the non-profits and the community groups; the volunteers and all those who actively care for the people and place of Queenstown.

Not only will the Gala be the finale for the Wayfare Spirit of the Wakatipu Awards, but it will also mark the finale of the 2019 Generation Give Youth Philanthropy Programme currently being implemented by the Wakatipu Community Foundation and Youth Philanthropy New Zealand.

Our youth philanthropists have been working tirelessly throughout the year and the Gala will be when they showcase the work they have been doing, the non-profit groups they have been working alongside and they will be making their first round of grants from their very own endowment fund.

The Gala will also see the first grants made from the recently established Kate Moetaua Foundation Endowment Fund.

Alongside all of this will be fantastic opportunity for people to come together, to meet, to network and to build deeper relationships with others working towards common goals. And we’ll have some spectacular entertainment along the way.
