Te Atamira
Project: Whakatipu Toi Hapore - Growing Community Creativity
Main Sector: Arts and Culture

Te Atamira, Tāhuna Queenstown’s arts and cultural centre, is a platform for creativity to flourish for everyone, every day. It empowers potential, celebrates diversity, champions innovation, enriches wellbeing and fosters inclusion in its accessible, purpose-built spaces.
Its proposed programme Whakatipu Toi Hapori will expand its ability to reach and support under-served groups in the community via targeted, inclusive programming.
Funding is sought for
a. an additional team member to grow curatorial and community offerings;
b. deliver outreach and drop in programmes aimed at those not yet engaging regularly with Te Atamira, or separated from it by distance or means; and
c. run capability workshops for creatives to grow and future-proof Tahuna's professional arts, culture and creativity sector.
Te Atamira is convinced of the demand for its services, having seen a 27% increase in visitors year on
year. It has more than 2000 visitors a week. It wants Impact100's help to reach those demographics and sectors in the community denied access to it before now.
